MiRiDER Marks 5th Anniversary with Factory Launch Celebration

This week marked a huge milestone for us at MiRiDER — we turned five years old! To celebrate, we opened the doors to our brand-new factory and showroom space right here in Martland Business Park, Wigan, and we were honoured to have the Mayor of Wigan, Cllr Jenny Bullen, officially open it with us.

We welcomed over 70 fantastic guests, including players from the Wigan Warriors, members of the press, and the incredible team from local charity Joining Jack. It was a proud moment for all of us as we showcased our new facility — a space that will help us ramp up production and support our plans to expand into Europe in the near future.

Since we launched in 2020, our mission has been to create a compact, British-built e-bike that’s fun, functional, and ready for any adventure. We’re so proud to have picked up awards like:

• Road.cc’s Best Folding E-Bike of 2022

• Bike of the Year 2024/25

We’re even prouder of the community that’s grown around our bikes. None of this would be possible without the support of our amazing customers and team.

The anniversary event was a proper Wigan celebration — we had local food, a DJ spinning great tunes, and test rides of our MiRiDER models (always a hit!). One lucky guest even won a MiRiDER of their choice worth up to £2,995 in our giveaway.

We also used the opportunity to give back. We raised £1,110 for Joining Jack, a brilliant Wigan-based charity that’s doing life-changing work in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We’re proud to support them and the incredible work they do.

The Mayor of Wigan, Cllr Jenny Bullen, summed it up beautifully:

“Manufacturing, innovation and design is intertwined within Wigan borough’s rich industrial heritage, and MiRiDER is a great example of the type of successful businesses that we’re seeing within Wigan and the surrounding areas. It’s great to see that this family business loves nothing more than supporting and giving back to the local community.”

When we started MiRiDER, our vision was simple: shake up the e-bike market with something more fun, more adventurous, and more vibrant. Five years later, we’re still holding onto that energy, and we’re excited about what’s next — growing our community, expanding into new markets, and continuing to innovate.

Thanks to everyone who’s been part of our journey so far. Here’s to the next five years and beyond. The ride’s only just getting started.
